This Sci-fi movie takes place in the future on one of Jupiter's moons, Io. On this moon is a mining colony administered by a man named Sheppard (Peter Boyle). Marshall W. T. O’Neil (Sean Connery) has been assigned here to investigate the death of several miners. His detective work reveals the deaths are being caused by an illegal drug used by the miners to help them work longer. With no help from his fellow officers (who are on the take from the drug pushers), O’Neil has to become a one man force as he is pursued by paid assassins while trying to bring the drug peddlers to justice.
